The seminar will concentrate on the potential of top quark measurements at the LHC to reveal hints of physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) with a strong emphasis on the SM Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). The talk will generally be given from an experimentalist’s perspective. However it will include some recent phenomenological work on the tWZ process at the High-Luminosity LHC and the dEFT framework developed for statistical intepretation of experimental results in the SMEFT.
