DESCRIPTION:Speakers: David Aguado (Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias
 (IAC))\n\nDuring Big Bang Nucleosynthesis\, hydrogen\, helium\, and small
traces of lithium and beryllium were produced. A few million years later\,
the first stars formed from this primordial material. Understanding their
nature provides key insight into early star formation\, the evolution of
galaxies\, and the yields of the first supernovae. These first stars\, and
especially their long-lived descendants\, offer a unique fossil record
 — but they are extremely rare and difficult to find. In this talk\, I wi
ll present recent advances in the search and characterization of these che
mically primitive stars and their relevance to modern astrophysics.\n\nhtt
