DESCRIPTION:SII Workshop 2026The workshop Stellar Intensity Interferometry
aims at gathering researchers involved in the modern revival of intensity
interferometry\, the science cases in which it will be competitive\, its
enabling technologies (detectors\, photonics…) and closely related inter
ferometric techniques. It combines the previous successful workshops"Stella
 r Intensity Interferometry Workshop“ (2025: Waischenfeld\, Germany)"Stel
lar Intensity Interferometry“ (2024: Porquerolles\, French Riviera) "Fu
ture Prospects of Intensity Interferometry" (2024\, Perimeter Institute\,
 Canada)."Stellar Intensity Interferometry“ (2023: Columbus\, Ohio)The wo
rkshop will be held at the H10 Taburiente Playa\, La Palma (Spain) from Oc
tober 5-9\, 2026. It is being organized jointly by CIEMAT and IPARCOS (UC
M).No schedule is yet available\, but you can expect a similar schedule as
previous meetings.Questions to be answered within the workshopWhat will b
e the potential of the next generation of Intensity Interferometers? Whic
h are the technical milestones needed to achieve these objectives?Which pa
rameter space/scientific topics Intensity Interferometry can complement Am
plitude Interferometry?Topics includeHistory of Stellar Intensity Interfer

se submit your abstract for either a presentation or a poster right away.
Abstract submission ends the 8th of June. Acceptance confirmation will be
done as soon as possible\, always before July 1st.Each participant is invi
ted to present a poster. There are very limited spots for contributed talk
s available. If talks end up not being possible\, please consider presenti
ng it as a poster.RegistrationRegistration is currently open. The conferenc
e fee (350€) covers:Attendance of the workshopDay visit to Observatorio
Roque de los MuchachosCoffee breaksConference dinnerOnce you register and
pay the fee\, you will receive a code to get a 10% discount at the Taburie
nte Hotel. We recommend the "all inclusive" option\, as that way we will m
aximize the amount of time we can spend for discussion. Also\, remember to
register in this indico page\, as it will be the one used during the meet
ing.Scientific Organizing CommitteeIrene Jiménez (MPI Munich)Gisela Anton

anthier (QOQI)General recommendationLa Palma is a very popular tourist des
tination\, and the Taburiente Hotel did not allow us to reserve rooms for
the meeting. The SOC will communicate to the speakers at the earliest time
possible if their contributions are accepted as a talk\, but we strongly
recommend to reserve a room as soon as possible\, to ensure we can all sha
re the same space (which is the way these meetings have been conceived).
