The seminar will focus on recent results on jet production from the ATLAS Collaboration, and their comparison to recently calculated next-to-next-to-leading order predictions. The results include ATLAS measurements of event shape variables such as the Transverse Thrust, Transverse Sphericity, Aplanarity, and Transverse Energy-Energy Correlations (TEEC) and its asymmetry (ATEEC). The value of the strong coupling constant alpha_s is determined from fits of the theoretical predictions on the TEEC and ATEEC functions to the ATLAS data, significantly improving the theoretical uncertainty.
