CIEMAT is located at the far end of the University Campus (Ciudad Universitaria). Please note that to access the center, you must present your ID at the security checkpoint, where you will receive a guest card and a map of the facilities.
By Car
CIEMAT has its own free parking.
- From Moncloa: Arco de Triunfo → Avda. Arco de la Victoria (A6) → Plz. de Cardenal Cisneros → Avda. Complutense.
- From M-30 and A6: Take the Sinesio Delgado exit and follow signs to Ciudad Universitaria – CIEMAT.
- From Barajas Airport (12 km from city center):
- Head towards Madrid – Avenida de América (A-2).
- Take A-2.
- Exit onto M-30 Sur (A-4, A-42, A-5).
- Continue on M-30.
- Take exit 23 towards Sinesio Delgado – Ciudad Universitaria – CIEMAT.

Public Transportation in Madrid
- A single bus or metro ticket can be purchased directly on the bus or at metro ticket offices.
- A 10-trip ticket (Metrobus) is available at metro ticket offices, tobacconists, and newsstands. This ticket is valid for both metro and bus services.

- Line 82: Paraninfo–CIEMAT stop. This is the most convenient option from the hotel area in Argüelles. The starting point is Meléndez Valdés, 72.
- Lines F, G, and U: Paraninfo–Telecomunicaciones stop.
By Metro
- From the airport (Line 8):
- Line 8 serves Barajas Airport, with stops at terminals T1-T2-T3 and T4. Be sure to check your terminal.
- Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4 are connected by a shuttle service.
- Take Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios, then transfer to Line 6 (grey) towards Ciudad Universitaria.
- From Ciudad Universitaria Station (Line 6):
- You can take bus line 82 in front of the metro exit.
- Alternatively, enjoy a 10-15 minute walk along the main campus avenue. Follow the attached itinerary for walking directions.
